Mission Team Standards

It is our highest priority to rightly represent Christ among the nations and minister the Gospel with integrity. This is achieved as Believers submit themselves to the authority of the Word of God and are empowered to live it out through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit.

We believe that how we speak and act, both as individuals and as a team, are a pivotal witness as it is meant to confirm the Gospel at work THROUGH us.

The authority of the Word of God sets clear standards on our beliefs and convictions, our behavior, and our approach to ministering to others as we walk humbly before our God and submit to His ways.

Joining a mission team requires that one will agree to - with the help of the Holy Spirit - walk worthy of this high calling.

Jesus Christ is the one true living God.

Philippians 2:5-11

John 17:3

The light of Jesus Christ is sufficient to deliver a person from darkness.

All other gods idols and all other religions are false - opening doors to darkness, oppression, bondage, confusion, and demonic influences.

Jesus Christ is the only means unto salvation and eternal life.

John 3:36 & 14:6, Acts 4:10-12, Romans 10:9, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 Timothy 2:5

Jesus Christ became flesh, lived and ministered among mankind while remaining spotless and sinless, and was crucified, buried, and then resurrected from the dead on the third day. He lives forever to intercede for us. His blood made atonement for sin for whosoever would believe in Him, repent from their sins, and receive His salvation. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him.

Jesus Christ is the hope of the nations.

Matthew 12:21

The Believer's life - including their speech, attitude, countenance, and behavior -  should bear witness of their redemption and holiness in Christ.

Proverbs 4:23, Matthew 12:34,  Ephesians 4:29 & 5:1-2, Philippians 1:27, 1 Peter 2:12

God has a specific design for marriage, and it is perfect. Biblical marriage that honors God is one man and one woman in holy covenant for life.

Godly marriage between a man and his wife are the representation of the covenant of Christ and His Bride - the church - to the whole earth, and it is to be honored by all, including singles and other married individuals. Though many cultures and "modern day" beliefs express approval of same-sex marriages or other departures from God's standard for marriage, we maintain our conviction in honoring God's perfect and intentional design for marriage.

Engaging in intimate relationships, whether emotional or sexual, outside of one's marriage is adultery and violates the covenant of marriage.

Any sexual relations outside of the covenant of marriage, whether heterosexual or homosexual,  are sinful and thereby destructive to an individual's life. The blood of Jesus is sufficient to wash one of sexual sin, remove shame, and restore the soul. The Holy Spirit also gives self-control to live according to the spirit and not satisfy fleshly, sinful desires.

The highest aim in marriage is holiness, not happiness. Marriage is worth fighting for and should be fiercely guarded. Marriage should not be entered into lightly, and it should not be dissolved for just any reason. God's grace and restoration is sufficient for one who has endured divorce, and He cares for the abandoned and the widow.
